Yes. Your Time To Drive specializes in connecting bad credit buyers with lenders who focus on your current ability to repay: your income, employment, and stability — rather than just your credit history. Many of our customers have been approved after being turned down elsewhere.
There is no minimum credit score requirement to apply. Our lender network works with all credit profiles, including scores below 500, thin files with no history, and borrowers who have been through bankruptcy. We encourage everyone to apply and let our team assess your options.
Our online application takes about 60 seconds. We collect basic personal, employment, and income information. Our team then works to match you with lenders in our network. Many customers hear back the same day. Once matched, you visit one of our 140+ partner dealerships to choose your vehicle and finalize paperwork.
Any authorization and consent details regarding credit inquiries will be clearly disclosed in the application process. Our consent language explains exactly what happens when you submit your application, so you know what to expect before you proceed.
Bankruptcy does not disqualify you from getting a car loan. In many cases, a discharged Chapter 7 bankruptcy actually improves your debt-to-income ratio, making you more attractive to certain lenders. Chapter 13 filers may also qualify with trustee approval. Visit our Bankruptcy Auto Loans page for more details.
Having no credit history is different from having bad credit, but it can feel just as difficult when trying to get approved. Our lenders who work with "no credit" applicants evaluate other factors like employment history, income stability, and time at your current residence. Visit our No Credit Car Loans page to learn more.
Auto loans are reported to all three major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Every on-time payment you make adds a positive mark to your credit history. Most customers see meaningful improvement in their credit profile within 12 to 24 months of consistent payments. This can open the door to refinancing at a lower rate down the road.
A down payment is not always required, but it can help. Putting money down reduces the amount you need to finance, which lowers your monthly payment and may improve your approval odds or interest rate. Even a modest down payment of $500–$1,000 can make a difference. Our team will walk you through what's recommended based on your financing match.
Many customers apply and drive home within 24 to 48 hours. The timeline depends on how quickly we can match you with financing and how soon you're able to visit a dealership. Same-day approvals are common, and same-day vehicle delivery is possible at many of our partner locations.
Yes. Our partner dealerships accept trade-ins. The trade-in value can be applied toward your new vehicle purchase, which reduces the amount you need to finance. Bring your current vehicle to the dealership and our staff will assess its value as part of the deal.
